Wayne (N.J.) Surgical Center treated its 130,000th patient Nov. 26, an important milestone for the three-operating room, multispecialty surgical center.

The center was formed in 1998 by a group of nine physicians and began operating in 1999. Today, the medical staff has more than 65 physicians who provide gastroenterology, orthopedics, pain management, plastic surgery, general surgery and more at the center.

In addition to the three ORs, the 14,950-square-foot ASC includes one special procedure room and one minor room. The center has American Association of Accreditation for Ambulatory Surgical Facilities accreditation and CMS certification.
