These are the states with the most physicians

In its 2018 Best and Worst States for Health Care report, WalletHub analyzed which states had the most and the fewest physicians.

WalletHub analyzed the 50 states and Washington, D.C., using 40 weighted metrics. Researchers averaged the score of the metrics to compile an overall score.

Here are their findings:

Most physicians per capita:

1. Washington, D.C.

2. Massachusetts

3. Rhode Island

4. New York

5. Connecticut

Fewest physicians per capita:

1. Utah

2. Mississippi

3. Nevada

4. Wyoming

5. Idaho
