St. Mary Medical Center honors founding board member through The Sidney T. Yates Outpatient Building — 4 takeaways

Lanhorn, Pa.-based St. Mary Medical Center is renaming its outpatient surgery center in honor of founding board member Sidney Yates, according to The Intelligencer.

1. St. Mary Medical Center is renaming the center The Sidney T. Yates Outpatient Building and held a dedication ceremony on Sept. 10.

2. Ms. Yates was a founding member of the company’s board of directors and trustees. Prior to her death three years ago, she donated personal service and financial gifts surpassing $12 million.

3. Built in 1997, the center offers same-day surgery, imaging, blood lab testing as well as cardiac and pulmonary rehabilitation.

4. The center houses the Wellness and Holistic Services Center, a cardiovascular catheterization lab and some emergency and trauma services.
