Physician Perception of EHR Viability: 4 Statistics

Nearly half of physicians are confident or very confident that their electronic health record system will be viable in five years, according to a national survey commissioned by Medical Economics and administered by MPI Group.

The survey includes responses from nearly 1,000 physicians.

When asked if they are confident that their EHRs will be viable in five years, respondents reported the following:

•    Very Confident – 26 percent
•    Confident — 36 percent
•    Doubtful — 24 percent
•    Very doubtful — 14 percent
