Pennsylvania legislators expand ASC scope of care — 3 insights

Pennsylvania legislators expanded the duration that services can be performed in the ASC space, JD Supra reports.

Here’s what you should know.

1. The state originally limited duration of services to a four-hour procedure and four hours of supervised recovery.

2. Under the new definition, ASCs can perform services for up to 24 hours.

3. The law passed Dec. 22, 2017, and is now in effect.
