Here are six insights:
1. Some PAs in Alaska, Arizona, California, Connecticut and Minnesota made up to $105,000 in 2014.
2. In 2014, 36.6 percent of PAs fell between 30 years old and 39 years old. About 67 percent of PAs were male and about 22 percent were multi-lingual.
3. Most PAs worked in office settings (39.8 percent) and hospitals (37.3 percent) in 2014.
4. The average PA worked about 41 hours weekly and saw 76 patients.
5. About 20 percent of PAs worked in the family/general medicine specialty.
6. The Association of American Medical Colleges predicts a shortage of 90,000 physicians by 2025.
