Orthopedists, plastic surgeons seesaw in top-paying specialty spot

Since 2015, orthopedic surgeons and plastic surgeons have consistently ranked among the physician specialties with the highest salaries.

The specialties have ranked No. 1 and No. 2 on Medscape’s list of the highest-paid physician specialties for the last eight years. 

Orthopedic surgeons have a slight edge, topping the list six times in 10 years.
