Canton, Ohio-based Mercy Medical Center will offer free hernia screenings by appointment at its surgery center April 7.

1. Mercy general surgeons trained in robot-assisted surgery will perform the screenings at Mercy Robotic Surgery Center in Massillon, Ohio.

2. There are 40 appointments available.

3. Participants can learn more about minimally invasive robot surgery used to correct hernias.

4. Mercy Robotic Surgery Center has two da Vinci robots on site.
