Memorial Community Health’s Wortman Surgery Center reaches milestone: 4 details

Aurora, Neb.-based Memorial Hospital’s Ken Wortman Surgery Center turns 10 years old this year, the Aurora News-Register reports.

Here’s what you should know:

1. Ken Wortman Surgery Center was established to honor the late Ken Wortman’s vision of helping Memorial Hospital meet the area’s changing medical needs.

2. Mr. Wortman served as Memorial Hospital board president for more than three decades, according to The Grand Island Independent.

3. About 30 surgeons perform roughly 700 surgeries in the ASC annually.

4. The 13,000-square foot facility offers general surgery,otolaryngology, obstetrics, orthopedics, ophthalmology, podiatry, pulmonology and pain management services.
