Here are five observations:
1. Louisiana State University Shreveport medical students will interview patients to discover more about their lives and personalities.
2. The medical students will then write down three talking points and share them with other members providing the patient’s care.
3. Sample questions include, “How would your friends describe you?” and “How would your family describe you?”
4. The “Tell Me More” initiative was born in 2014 after Mount Sinai medical students realized patient depersonalization.
5. More than 85 medical organizations participated in the “Tell Me More” initiative in 2015.
