Laser Spine Institute’s Philadelphia facility has achieved gold-level Planetree Designation for Excellence in Patient-Centered Care.

Here are five things to know:

1. Laser Spine Institute location is the first ASC in the world to receive designation from Planetree.

2. To achieve Planetree Designation, organizations must demonstrate achievement in patient-centered care across 11 core dimensions and 60 specific measures.

3. The criteria focus on the patient experience, as well as the experiences of family members, front-line staff, leadership teams and medical staff.

4. Laser Spine Institute currently operates seven surgery centers across the country, in Tampa, Fla.; Scottsdale, Ariz.; Philadelphia; Oklahoma City; Cleveland, St. Louis and Cincinnati.

5. Laser Spine Institute offers treatments spinal stenosis, degenerative disc disease, pinched nerves, bone spurs, bulging/herniated discs and sciatica.
