Since 2012, Nashville, Tenn.-based HCA has hired more than 60,000 veterans, active-duty and reserve personnel, and military spouses, according to a Nov. 16 press release.
The Times names top employers using a voluntary survey that captures areas of greatest importance for transitioning service members, veterans and families as they choose an employer. Recruitment and employment practices and retention and support programs are given the most weight in scoring.
This year alone, HCA has hired 6,000 veterans. The company provides pathways for nontraditional military talent to find employment opportunities in healthcare through partnerships with Hiring Our Heroes, 50-Strong and local veteran service organizations across the country.
HCA also maintains a veteran colleagues network, promoting a sense of purpose and community internally.
