European physicians visit Surgery Center of Oklahoma to observe business practices — 4 key notes

Oklahoma City-based Surgery Center of Oklahoma hosted physicians from European countries to observe the center’s business practices, KFOR reports.

Here’s what you should know.

1. The surgery center guarantees its procedures’ costs and only accepts cash for payment.

2. The European physicians found out about the center from international patients who went to it, and came to observe how the center operated.

3. Gulnora Razykova, medical director of a Tajikistan practice, said to KFOR,”It’s a lot for us to learn and study. We thought it might be a trick at first. But, when they told us how they calculated prices at all levels. … It’s really fair.”

4. The surgery center performs approximately 7,500 procedures annually.
