1. The implant is designed for patients with astigmatism to gain the full range of vision. The lens treats presbyopia and astigmatism.
2. Dr. Zaffater can perform the procedure for patients who require cataract surgery or as astigmatism correction if patients aren’t able to undergo LASIK.
3. Dr. Zaffater opened the center after completing his medical training at LSU Medical Center in New Orleans. He completed his ophthalmology residency there in 1997.
4. He previously was among the first surgeons in Louisiana certified on the LenSx laser for cataract surgery and he’s trained on Botox and Juvederm procedures.
5. The center treats patients who need eyelid procedures, glaucoma management, diabetic eye care and double vision in addition to a host of other conditions.
