The healthcare sector added thousands of jobs in May, according to employment data from the Bureau of Labor Statistics.

1. Healthcare added 24,000 jobs.

2. Ambulatory healthcare services added more than 13,000 jobs.

3. So far this year, healthcare has added 22,000 positions each month on average.

4. Across industries, nonfarm payroll employment increased by 138,000 jobs.
