8 Statistics on Personal Finance & Preparedness Concerns of Physicians Over 60 Years

Most physicians between the ages of 60 and 69 years are concerned about whether their retirement money will last, according to “2014 Work/Life Profiles of Today’s U.S. Physicianreleased by AMA Insurance.

The survey includes responses from 4,950 U.S. physicians. The survey was conducted in October 2013.

When asked which personal finance and preparedness issues concern them the most, respondents reported the following:

•    Whether retirement money will last — 68 percent
•    Protecting estate from taxes — 43 percent
•    Managing retirement options — 41 percent
•    Long term care — 40 percent
•    What investments should we make — 33 percent
•    Family security — 23 percent
•    Having enough life insurance — 7 percent
•    Having enough money for college for their children — 6 percent
