6 statistics on public health insurance exchange enrollees

Here are six things to know about public health insurance exchange enrollees, according to the Deloitte Center for Health Solutions' 2015 Survey of U.S. Health Care Consumers.

•    Seventy-six percent of enrollees said the overall amount they have to pay in terms of premiums, deductibles and co-pays was an important factor when they chose their current plan.
•    Sixty-four percent enrollees indicated that finding good value was important to them when they chose their current plan.
•    Forty-one percent said the availability of a tool to help them find the best plan was an important factor when they chose their plan.
•    Only 30 percent of all surveyed enrollees say they are satisfied with their current plan, which is significantly lower than other insured cohorts.
•    Twenty-four percent are confident they can get affordable care when they need it.
•    Around 16 percent of enrollees feel financially prepared to handle their future healthcare costs.

The 2015 survey included responses from 3,887 adults.
