Nephrology saw the largest decline in compensation between 2012 and 2013, according to the Medscape Physician Compensation Report 2014.

The report includes responses from more than 24,000 physicians in 25 specialties.

Here five specialties that saw a decline in compensation between 2012 and 2013, according to the report:

•    Nephrology — down by 8 percent
•    Pathology — down by 3 percent
•    Radiology — down by 2 percent
•    Pulmonary medicine — down by 2 percent
•    Cardiology — down by 2 percent
