5 best, worst places for physicians to practice

The Midwest boasts some of the best states for physicians to practice, according to Medscape’s “Best and Worst Places to Practice 2017.”

To compile the list, Medscape assessed factors including number of lawsuits and teamwork with physician assistants.

The top five states include:
1. Minnesota
2. Wisconsin
3. South Dakota
4. Iowa
5. Vermont

The five worst states for physicians to practice include:
1. Louisiana
2. Arizona
3. Nevada
4. New Mexico
5. Oklahoma
