Pinnacle III outlined the key ways ASCs can adopt technology in a blog post:
1. Avoid adopting technology just because it’s “trendy.” Set goals or create a strategy around technology to ensure any technology purchase fits clinicians’ needs.
2. Implementing new technology at an ASC presents new learning opportunities. Learn from past mistakes when adopting new technology.
3. Some physicians may protest new technology adoption, even when the technology may be helpful.
4. Research your options. There is a plethora of ASC technology available, including patient texting programs, surgery scheduling platforms and more.
