The tips she shared:

1. Inspire others to improve. Give staff room to grow into leadership roles. Encouraging others to pick up new skills could be useful when planning for succession.

2. Lead by example. Due to the fast-paced nature of ASCs, demonstrating a strong work ethic is essential when leading a team.

3. Wear as many hats as possible. ASC nurses can fill a multitude of roles. Being flexible allows ASC leaders to mentor others and pass on essential skills.
