1. Communication and understanding your customer are key when developing an ASC marketing strategy. However, the “all hands on deck” culture at ASCs leaves little time to develop and implement a marketing plan, according to Lakewood, Colo.-based Pinnacle III.
2. Online presence, open houses and advertising can also boost an ASC’s reputation, according to Cynthia Schuetz, RN, administrator of the Naples, Fla.-based Seaside Surgery Center.
3. Moddern marketing recommends ASCs focus on the consumer, understand healthcare market dynamics, use different channels to reach consumers, partner with a marketing agency and understand marketing terminology.
