- 73 percent of providers accepted insurance
- 38 percent of physicians used fee-for-service models
- 27 percent of providers participated in accountable care organizations
- 13 percent provided direct primary care
- 5 percent were cash-only practices
- 2 percent were concierge practices
Medscape said although ACO participation rose in 2018, evidence suggests the industry isn’t interested in the model.
