1. According to a release, UPMC is hoping the center will “fundamentally change the way medications are paid for in the U.S.”

2. UPMC Health Plan’s Chief Medical Officer William Shrank, MD, and Chief Pharmacy Officer Chronis Manolis are leading the center.

3. Express Scripts awarded UPMC Health Plan a grant to support the center.

4. UPMC Health Plan partnered with RxAnte to measure and report drug performance across several specialities. UPMC Health Plan will use the results to help shape measures as well as clinical program development.
