Here’s what you should know.
1. According to Morning Consult data, more than 36,000 Americans felt no differently about the payers after they announced they’d cease offering individual policies through the exchanges.
2. Approximately 41 percent of adults favorably viewed Humana while 42 percent favorably viewed Aetna. Thirty-eight percent of the public favorably viewed UnitedHealth Group, which also pulled out of the exchanges.
3. After announcing it would pull out of the exchanges, Humana’s favorability rose to 40 percent a week later.
4. The public views Anthem and Cigna, the two payers still in the exchanges, less favorably. However, Morning Consult said the public could have considered their failed merger when issuing the respective 30 percent and 35 percent ratings.
