What you should know:
1. Legislators were attempting to reform the state’s CON laws through House Bill 126.
2. The bill had already passed the House and the Senate and was impervious to amendments. Legislators, however, had to work past Democratic Gov. Roy Cooper’s veto of their proposed budget, which resulted in the removal of all CON-related pieces.
3. Legislators want to resurrect CON reform in a special legislative session that would only take place if the General Assembly votes to override the governor’s budget veto.
