Here are four things to know:
1. Beneficiaries can switch to Medicare or a Medicare Part D drug plan.
2. Those enrolled in Medicare cannot switch to a MA plan and those enrolled in MA cannot switch to a different MA plan.
3. MA beneficiaries have to wait until fall 2017 to adjust their coverage that goes into effect next year, unless they qualify for a special enrollment period.
4. Of Medicare beneficiaries, almost 33 percent choose MA coverage, as opposed to Medicare.
