Here’s what you should know:
1. Dr. Barrow pleaded guilty to one count of conspiracy to pay and receive kickbacks while practicing at Louisiana Spine & Sports, a pain management clinic.
2. As part of his plea deal, Dr. Barrow admitted he sent his patients’ urine specimens to a drug testing lab in exchange for a cut of the lab’s reimbursements from Medicare and other benefit programs. He reportedly received about $336,000 in illegal payments from April 2014 through July 2016.
3. His sentencing is scheduled for March 1, 2019.
