Home healthcare prices decreased by 0.2 percent and physician office prices fell 0.1 percent. Prices for blood and organ donor banks, nursing care facilities, dentist offices and medical and diagnostic laboratories remained steady.
However, healthcare industry prices in September were 1.8 percent higher than one year ago, according to the Bureau of Labor Statistics. Hospital prices were 2.4 percent higher than last year and physician office prices were 1 percent higher.
