Consumers frustrated with payer complications — 4 things to know

Many consumers are frustrated with health insurance errors, caused by increased enrollment at the end of 2015, according to TribLive.

Here are four things to know:

1. Payers across various states reported receiving an excess of consumer complaints about delays and errors with their health plans.

2. Many plans closed at the end of 2015, forcing many Americans to quickly switch plans. Further, the government extending the enrollment deadline sizable increased last-minute enrollees.

3. This backup means some consumers will have to wait to schedule appointments or pay out of pocket until they received their insurance cards.

4. Many payers claim the issues will be sorted out by the end of January.
