Here’s what you should know.

1. The insurer had a 27.1 percent rate increase denied by the state’s Insurance Department earlier in the month, and it had threatened to leave the exchange. But the insurer announced it would participate at the approved rate schedule for 2017.

2. ConnectiCare will join Anthem as the only other option through the exchange.

3. ConnectiCare was initially afraid the new rates would not cover its expenses for the year, and had withdrawn because of them. The company did not comment on why the new rate schedule was acceptable.

4. UnitedHealthcare and HealthyCT have both withdrawn from the exchanges.
