Here are five highlights:

1. In 2017, the benchmark silver plan will cost consumers $296 each month for consumers in states using HealthCare.gov.

2. The benchmark silver plan’s premium climbed 7.2 percent, on average, in 2016.

3. While 22 percent is the average hike, Arizona consumers will face premium increases of 116 percent next year. However, HHS Acting Assistant Secretary Kathryn Martin noted Arizona had the lowest rate increase of any state in 2016.

4. Despite these hikes, nearly 85 percent of ACA enrollees receive federal subsidies, which can reduce their premium to less than 10 percent of their income. Officials claim almost 77 percent of consumers can find a plan that costs $100 or less after subsidies.

5. Many consumers will face another challenge next year — a limited number of payers offering coverage. In 2017, 228 carriers will offer plans on federal and selected state exchanges, down from 298 carriers in 2016. Five states will have one payer providing plans on the ACA federal exchange next year.
