For physicians, learning ICD-10 is less about codes sets and more about the documentation associated with codes. Physicians will need to get more specific with their diagnoses, according to the report. For instance, a finger fracture in ICD-9 may need to be a fractured distal portion of the right index finger in ICD-10.
