Effective May 28, the policy gives Aetna’s 22 million medical plan members coverage for SI-Bone’s iFuse Implant System when its use is deemed medically necessary.

Aetna’s decision was based upon clinical evidence — including five-year results from a prospective study — of the iFuse system’s safety and effectiveness, SI-Bone said in a press release.
