AAPC: Submit Claims for Durable Medical Equipment, Prosthetics, Orthotics and Supplies in Sequence

National Government Services, the jurisdiction B Medicare administrative contractor, reminds providers of durable medical equipment, prosthetics, orthotics and supplies to submit monthly claims for repetitive serves and items in sequence, according to an AAPC release.

Failure to submit items in sequence may cause problems with reimbursement. Continuous items must generally be reporting on a monthly basis to avoid disruption of reimbursement; if services are interrupted, they must be reported in sequence when services are resumed.
