The institute analyzed databases from the U.S. Census Bureau and Congressional Budget Office to draw a portrait of the newly insured under the PPACA.
According to the report, the newly insured population will have the following characteristics:
• Ninety-two percent will be in relatively good health.
• Seventy-five percent will be white.
• Sixty-one percent will have a high school degree or less.
• Fifty-two percent will be single.
• Forty-two percent will not be in the labor force.
• Thirty percent will speak a language other than English.
