More than half—58 percent—offer some coding services. Here is the breakdown of how often companies provide these services to their ASCs:
• Never: 42 percent
• 25 percent of the time: 3 percent
• 50 percent of the time: 17 percent
• 75 percent of the time: 10 percent
• Always: 28 percent
The typical fee for ASC billing and collections services provided by third parties, as a percentage of net revenue, is:
• 2.00 to 2.99 percent: 7 percent
• 3.00 to 3.99 percent: 38 percent
• 4.00 to 4.99 percent: 24 percent
• 5.00 to 5.99 percent: 21 percent
• 6.00 to 6.99: 10 percent
