The Hill surveyed one thousand registered voters.
Here’s what you should know:
1. About 52 percent of Republicans said they supported Medicare for All, according to an American Barometer poll conducted by Hill.TV and Harris X. About 25 percent “strongly” supported the proposal and 27 percent “somewhat” supported it.
2. On the other end, 22 percent of Republicans “somewhat” opposed the idea, while 26 percent “strongly” opposed it.
3. Republican Party leaders, including President Donald Trump, are strongly opposed to the idea.
4. In a USA Today op-ed, President Trump said, “In practice, the Democratic Party’s so-called Medicare for All would really be Medicare for None. Under the Democrats’ plan, today’s Medicare would be forced to die.”
