Three things to know:
1.ASC staff should encourage those who work with payers to strive for clean claims by educating them on the center’s billing process and holding them accountable if performance slips.
2. ASCs should revise billing processes that aren’t working well.. If processes are changed, staff needs to be trained on the changes.
3. Adopting new business office technology and leaning on vendors to train staff can help make billing processes more efficient.
