Two recent updates:

1. Medicare providers and suppliers can apply for accelerated or advance payments from CMS during the public health emergency. Most providers and suppliers can request up to 100 percent of the Medicare payment amount they’d receive for a three-month period. Click here to read more.

2. Small businesses “substantially affected by COVID-19” are eligible to receive a forgivable loan under the Coronavirus Aid, Relief and Economic Security Act’s Payroll Protection Plan. The portal to apply for a loan under the Payroll Protection Plan is expected to open the second week of April. Separately, the Small Business Administration is issuing low-interest loans for small businesses to pay fixed debts, payroll and other expenses that could have been settled if not for the COVID-19 pandemic.
