Chicago-based Northwestern Medicine has opened a new outpatient center on the Northwestern Medicine Huntley (Ill.) Hospital campus.
The 80,000-square-foot facility will provide services including general surgery, cardiovascular, gastroenterology and pulmonary medicine, according to an Oct. 19 news release from Northwestern Medicine.
The expansion will add about 300 new jobs over the next three years.
“This new outpatient center strengthens our ability to care for patients across every stage of their healthcare journey,” Patrick Towne, MD, president of Northwestern Medicine Regional Medical Group, said in the release. “By expanding cancer, cardiovascular and specialty services in Huntley, we are improving access, reducing wait times and making it easier for patients and families to receive exceptional care in their own community.”
At the Becker’s 32nd Annual Meeting: The Business and Operations of ASCs, taking place October 29-31 in Chicago, ASC leaders, surgeons and healthcare executives will explore strategies to drive growth, enhance operational performance, navigate reimbursement challenges and prepare for the future of ambulatory surgery.
