Trinity Mother Frances Hospitals and Clinics bariatric surgical center gets accreditation: 5 key notes

The Trinity Mother Frances Hospitals and Clinics’ bariatric surgical center received the comprehensive center accreditation under the Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery Accreditation and Quality Improvement Program of the American College of Surgeons and American Society for Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery, according to a Jacksonville Progress report.

1. The surgery center met criteria for staffing, training and facility infrastructure as well as developed protocols for care and showed the ability to support patients with severe obesity to achieve the accreditation.

2. The center participates in a national data registry program to track quality and identify areas for improvement.

3. The center includes two surgeons who provide weight loss solutions.

4. Trinity Mother of Frances has served the East Texas community for more than 75 years.

5. The hospital has 330 physicians, 40 specialties and 31 clinic locations.
