Middletown, Conn.-based Community Health Center received The Joint Commission’s Gold Seal of Approval for Ambulatory Health Care Accreditation and Behavioral Health Care Accreditation, both valid for three years.

1. CHC also earned the Gold Seal of Approval for Primary Care Medical Home Certification, an add-on option for accredited ambulatory healthcare organizations.

2. To achieve accreditation and certification, CHC underwent a review and four-day onsite survey. The Joint Commission surveyors conducted staff interviews and observed clinical operations.

3. CHC aims to deliver healthcare where it is most needed through its mobile dental offices, mobile health clinics and urgent care clinics.
