Mississippi Surgical Center gets accreditation

The Mississippi Surgical Center received accreditation at the end of 2014, according to an AAAHC newsletter.

The surgery center was established in 1987 and physicians perform several procedures, including general surgery, gynecology, orthopedics, ophthalmology, urology, pain management and plastic and reconstructive surgery.

The Accreditation Association for Ambulatory Health Care granted the center accreditation.

The surgery center includes more than 100 physicians and has a 23-hour extended recovery center.
