The finding is another in the line of troublesome allegations against Dr. Denham, who was involved in a $40 million Justice Department kickback settlement for receiving payments from CareFusion, announced in January of this year.
Dr. Denham is also known for serving as co-chairman of the National Quality Forum.
Both NQF and the Journal of Patient Safety cut ties with Dr. Denham as a result of the kickbacks findings. Since then, the Journal has appointed a new editorial board and has reviewed its conflict-of-interest policies with the goal of preventing the scenario in the future, according to the report.
