Customers indicated several issues that The Joint Commission felt “may have not been sufficiently evaluated during the standards review process,” according to post on the Ambulatory Buzz blog.

As a result, the organization will collect further research on documentation or radiation dose, equipment performance evaluation, radiologic technologist minimum qualifications and requirements related to California’s CT law, according to the post.

The final requirements will be prepublished on The Joint Commission’s website in February 2015. Questions may be directed to imagesafety@jointcommission.org.
