According to the medical board’s charges, Dr. Cobb allegedly began to perform surgery on a patient’s index finger when he was supposed to perform it on the patient’s ring finger. Dr. Cobb reportedly realized the error and closed the incision on the index finger.

Furthermore, Dr. Cobb had allegedly ignored a manufacturer’s instructions over a plate insertion that caused another patient’s second fracture.
A disciplinary hearing has been set for Oct. 20. Dr. Dobb has called the allegations “baseless” and has partnered with an attorney to fight the charges, according to the report.
