Accreditation leader to know: Lou Ellen Horwitz of Immediate Clinic

Lou Ellen Horwitz is the director of learning at Immediate Clinic in the Seattle area. She previously spent six years as director of the Urgent Care Association of America and worked with The Joint Commission forming a partnership.

Her experience with The Joint Commission includes designing and directing staff programs, coordinating hospital relationship activities and supervising internal communications at Immediate Clinic. She worked with The Joint Commission to create a list of ambulatory standards specific to urgent care.

Ms. Horwitz earned her degree at Vanderbilt University and completed an MA in organizational management at the University of Phoenix.
