AAAHC accredits Michigan Eye Surgery Center

Michigan Eye Surgery Center received accreditation and has acquired new technology.

The 8,400-square-foot ambulatory surgery center achieved Accreditation Association for Ambulatory Health Care accreditation and Medicare certification. David Diskin, MD, Jeff Diskin, MD, and Gary Keoleian, MD, own the facility. MyLe Shaw, MD, also performs surgical procedures there.

The facility is set up with McKesson’s new implant manager system to electronically manager IOLs and supplies — Implant Manager. The center also acquired a femtosecond laser, B&L’s Victus, for cataract surgery.

The physicians currently perform ophthalmology and oculoplastic procedures, but the ASC is equipped to expand into other specialties as growth occurs.
