AAAHC accredits Gwinnett Advanced Surgery Center: 4 things to know

The Accreditation Association for Ambulatory Health Care granted accreditation to Gwinnett Advanced Surgery Center in Snellville, Ga.

Here are four things to know about the ASC:

1. The surgery center includes ophthalmology, pain management, otolaryngology, orthopedics and podiatry.

2. Procedures performed there include ACL reconstruction, IOLs, cataract removal and sacroiliac joint injections.

3. The center’s administrator is Joseph D’Agostino, MBA, working alongside director of nursing Peggy Simmons, RN, and medical director Wayne Hutchens, MD.

4. The center is Medicare-certified and affiliated with Northside Hospital.
